Physical exams: regular physical exams are an essential part of pet health care. They identify potential problems or dangers to your pet's health before they become serious. During such exams we routinely check your pet's ears, eyes, teeth, skin, and general physical condition. We also strongly encourage yearly stool exams to check for parasites and yearly blood testing for heartworm disease. Geriatric profiles are recommended for older animals.

Vaccinations: vaccinations are a part of preventive medicine. One of the most effective ways of protecting your pet's health is to provide immunization against various diseases. We require distemper, corona, bordetella, leptospirosis, hepatitus, and parvo vaccines for dogs, and distemper and upper respiratory viruses vaccine for cats. Rabies vaccinations for dogs are required by law.

Dentistry: the regular scheduling of dentistry is the best way to prevent tooth loss and gum disease, which affect more than 80% of animals over five years old. Our dentistry services include ultra-sonic cleaning and polishing, tooth extraction, and oral surgery.

Our state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment includes an X-ray machine, an EKG to evaluate your pet's heart, and a serum chemistry analyzer to evaluate internal organs. We perform routine heartworm checks and fecal and urine analysis.

When your pet needs surgery, whether it's a spay or a complex operation, our skilled surgeons offer quality and experience. Our hospital includes up-to-date sterile surgical facilities and procedures, modern anesthetic techniques, constant patient monitoring, and a wide variety of orthopedic, soft tissue, and elective surgeries. Surgery is performed on an appointment basis, Mondays - Fridays.

Hospitalization: during hospitalization, your pet recovers in comfortable and sanitary surroundings. All hospitalized animals must have current vaccinations to protect them from contracting or spreading serious diseases. Certified technicians are trained to respond to your pet's diet, exercise, and special needs.

Boarding: reservations are required for boarding, which we provide as a service for our clients. For the safety of all pets in our charge, we require that all vaccinations be up-to-date. Air conditioned indoor runs are provided, and therapeutic dipping and bathing is available.

Pharmacy: Meadows Animal Hospital maintains a pharmacy that gives our clients the convenience of getting their pet's prescription without having to go to a drug store.

Dietary services: A sound diet is vital to the health of your pet at every age level. We will help you determine dietary requirements for proper weight maintenance, performance, and growth. We stock and recommend nutritious food for your pet, and prescription diets are available.

Payment is due at the time service is rendered or upon release of your pet from the hospital. You may pay by cash or check; we also accept VISA and MasterCard. We will be pleased to give you an estimate of charges before service is rendered.
